لی نینگ (Li-Ning) در کشور چین بسیار پرطرفدار می باشد به طوری که به "نایک چین" شهرت دارد.

لی نینگ (Li-Ning) یکی از برترین شرکت های تولید کننده محصولات ورزشی در چین است که به طور عمده عرضه کفش، پوشاک و تجهیزات جانبی برای مقاصد حرفه ای و عادی را تحت برند لینینگ (Li-Ning) انجام می دهد. ساختمان مرکزی لینینگ (Li-Ning) در شهر پکن قرار داشته و این گروه دارای بخش های مختلف شامل بازاریابی برند، پژوهش و توسعه، طراحی، تولید، توزیع و خرده فروشی است. اگرچه لوگو لینینگ (Li-Ning) بی شباهت به لوگو شرکت نایک نیست اما طراحی آن بر اساس حروف ال و ان در نام این شرکت انجام شده است.

شرکت لینینگ (Li-Ning) در سال 1990 توسط لینینگ (Li-Ning)، قهرمان سابق المپیک در رشته ژیمناستیک، تاسیس شد که تا سال 2007 نیز ریاست هیئت مدیره این شرکت را بر عهده داشت. لی نینگ (Li-Ning) در تالار افتخارات خود کسب 106 مدال طلا و دو قهرمانی مسابقات جام جهانی را ثبت کرده است. لینینگ (Li-Ning) در رقابت های جام جهانی ژیمناستیک 1982، شش مدال طلا از هفت مدال ممکن را کسب کرد که لقب "شاهزاده ژیمناستیک" را برای او به همراه داشت. محصولات برند لی نینگ (Li-Ning) رشته های ورزشی مختلف مانند دومیدانی، بسکتبال، بدمینتون، فوتبال، تنیس و آمادگی جسمانی را در بر می گیرد. در سال 2006، لینینگ (Li-Ning) درآمد 418 میلیون دلاری و سود 39 میلیون دلاری را ثبت کرد. تا سال 2007، تعداد فروشگاه های خرده فروشی این شرکت به 4 هزار و 297 عدد رسیده بود.

بخش کفش های ورزشی لی نینگ (Li-Ning) طی چند سال گذشته رشد چشمگیری داشته و از خطوط تولید اصلی این شرکت می توان به کفش های بسکتبال "Flying Armor" و کفش های دومیدانی "Flying Feather" اشاره کرد.

راهبرد لی نینگ (Li-Ning) بر قراردادهای حمایت مالی به ویژه با ورزشکاران و تیم های ورزشی در چین و دیگر کشورهای جهان به منظور آشنایی هرچه بیشتر با این برند متکی است. لی نینگ در سال 2006 قرارداد همکاری راهبردی با اتحادیه ملی بسکتبال آمریکا یا به اختصار "ان بی ای"، اتحادیه تنیسورهای حرفه ای، اتحادیه بسکتبال دانشگاهی چین و لیگ فوتبال دانشگاهی چین را امضا کرد. تامین لباس های ورزشی تیم ملی بسکتبال آرژانتین در رویدادهای بین المللی از جمله المپیک تابستانی 2008 و المپیک تابستانی 2012 بر عهده این شرکت بوده است. قراردادی مشابه با کمیته المپیک سوئد نیز به امضا رسید. از سال 2004، تیم های ملی بسکتبال مردان و بانوان اسپانیا نیز از پشتیبانی لی نینگ (Li-Ning) برخوردار بوده اند.

لینینگ (Li-Ning) با برخی از چهره های سرشناس بسکتبال آمریکا مانند بارون دیویس، شکیل اُنیل، دیمن جونز، خوزه کالدرون و ایوان ترنر قرارداد همکاری داشته است. شکیل اونیل در سال 2006 قراردادی چهار ساله را به ارزش 1.25 میلیون دلار با لینینگ (Li-Ning) امضا کرد که بزرگترین معامله این شرکت محسوب می شد. از سال 2012 نیز دوین وید که سابقه همکاری با برند جردن را دارد همکاری خود با لی نینگ (Li-Ning) را آغاز کرده است.
